James Hacon is managing director of Elliotts, the sector's leading marketing, insight and PR agency. With a far from traditional career path, James’ experience stretches marketing, operations and development for hotel, restaurant and hospitality businesses across five countries. Some of his proudest successes include taking a restaurant from opening to national ‘Top 50’ status in under a year and winning Best New Hotel award in the New Zealand Hospitality Awards for a start-up boutique property. Since joining Elliotts last year he has worked with many of the UK’s most respected hospitality brands including IHG, Spirit Pub Company, Marstons, Tragus and Adnams.
