John started his career in operations with Forte Hotels. On graduating from the management programme he became part of the opening team at the Conrad Chelsea Harbour. It was from here that he made the transition to sales and marketing spending a large part of his career with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and The Landmark, London before becoming general manager at The Hempel, London. In 2004 JGCollection was launched, a business development company working with a collection of privately owned properties, management companies and hotel owners such as Thompson Hotels, ME by Melia, Inverlochy Castle Management, Le Negresco, Derby Hotels, Townhouse Group, Why the Best Hotels and Sorgente Group.
