Josh joined Patron in 2005 and focuses on all aspects of origination, acquisition and management of hospitality sector investments. His main responsibilities include origination, underwriting, execution and asset management for his portfolio companies as well as new business deals. Josh currently manages approximately €250 million of equity with the primary focus being Generator Hostels - he completed the MBO in 2007 enabling the platform to increase to eight properties. Additional investments include the recent addition of a subsection of the distressed Von Essen portfolio, subsequently rebranded to its original format of the Luxury Family Hotels group which now consists of seven assets within the UK. Patron also recently completed an additional investment in a distressed portfolio, formerly known as Jarvis, which was purchased in Sept 2011 by Patron in a joint-venture with Royal Bank of Scotland. This portfolio, consisting of 26 hotels, has now been rebranded under a Mercure franchise agreement. Josh was previously co-founder of the Armada Group, a management consultancy firm, successfully expanding the business and selling it to Alchemy Ventures in 2003. Josh received his B.A. in International Studies & Economics from American University (1996) and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 2005.
