Simon Steele is the general manager of Armathwaite Hall Country House Hotel & Spa which is a privately owned luxury four red star hotel set in the secluded splendour of deer park and woodland in the heart of the English Lake District. Since joining the hotel in 2009, Simon has managed the property through structured sales and revenue distribution in addition to acquiring various awards such as red star status, the Best Large Hotel of the Year in Cumbria, winner at the Professional Beauty awards for best residential spa hotel in the UK, 2011 and 2014. Prior to joining Armathwaite Hall he held various senior management positions in Buckinghamshire, Surrey and Kent for both independent and multi-chain groups. Simon has over 20 years experience in the hotel industry with a real passion for quality establishments, developing teams and is partial to a nice glass of rioja.
