Coming from a banking background, Jalal founded a property development in 2003, specialising in high-end residential new build, refurbishments and redevelopment projects across London.

Through this avenue, Jalal was involved in the development, concept design, branding and ultimately running of a boutique hotel project in Ealing, West London. This eventually became Hotel Xanadu and is now in its third, successful year of trading.

It was through this project that Jalal was introduced to the hospitality world and this eventually led to him to found this company to both propagate the Xanadu brand, and also establish other brands with niche intellectual value in the hotel world. Through the prism of property development, he is now

involved in multiple projects to convert, develop and refurbish properties for hospitality use.

Having a keen interest in business, Jalal chose to study Management Sciences at London School of Economics and Political Science, gaining a Bachelor’s of Sciences degree. With the establishment of his afore-mentioned property development arm, Jalal then went on to achieve a Masters of Arts degree in Property Valuation and Law, giving him a very

specific skillset, which benefits him to this day.
