Philip is an expert in the booming hostel industry. During his time as CEO of Safestay plc Philip transformed the fledgling listed company into the UK’s leading premium hostel group; quadrupling the size of the business through successfully developing and acquiring new hostels supported by a significant placing in 2015. Prior to Safestay, Philip was a founding partner of Starboard Hotels, a UK based hotel owner and operator and franchisee of IHG, Wyndham and Accor. He also chaired the Amsterdam based WYSE Travel Confederation between 2014 and 2107 which promotes the broader youth travel and accommodation sectors globally. Philip is now advising a number of clients on their hostel and hotel sector investment and operational activity.
