Susanne Traudt

South Place

Susanne is the general manager of South Place, a boutique hotel in the City of London.

Originally from Munich, Susanne relocated to London in 2007 to take up the position of food and beverage executive at The Connaught, progressing to restaurant manager after just one year. During this time Susanne worked alongside highly-acclaimed French chef, Hélène Darroze. Susanne joined restaurant group D&D London in 2010 as operations manager of the Royal Exchange, overseeing the two restaurants and bars, and events spaces hosting up to 800 guests. She was then approached to join the pre-opening team at D&D’s first hotel venture, South Place, in May 2012 as director of food and beverage. During her time at the helm of the food and beverage team, the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Angler, was awarded a Michelin star. Susanne then progressed to hotel manager in November 2014, before her recent promotion to general manager where she heads up a team of more than 200.
