Madhu began her career in the hospitality industry – working with Marriott International, Hilton Hotels, Starwood and Emirates Airlines in operations, sales and marketing across the Middle East, Eastern Europe and the UK Madhu has spent the last decade of her career working in the not-for-profit sector on a range of development issues including poverty and inequality, education and livelihoods, gender equality, water and sanitation, sustainability and human rights. She currently works as Director for International Tourism Partnership – working together with hotel companies to drive positive action on environmental and social responsibility. She joined ITP from WSUP (Water & Sanitation for Urban Poor) where she was Director for Partnerships and Development, before which she worked for The British Asian Trust.
