About the BoHos

Discover the Boutique Hotel Guest Experience Awards

The Boutique Hotel Guest Experience Awards (BoHos) recognise UK and international boutique, lifestyle and hybrid hotels for providing excellence in guest experience. Uniquely, the BoHos are awarded not on the basis of scores from ivory tower judges or academics, but based on feedback from real guests in the form of verified online reviews and direct feedback.

The awards were presented at a ceremony on the evening of the 2019 Boutique + Lifestyle Summit, in The Kimpton Fitzroy London on 22nd May 2019.

Enter the awards and ...

Commit to guest experience

Simply entering the awards shows guests that you value their feedback and are committed to providing exceptional experiences.

Stand out from the competition

Being shortlisted or winning proves your guest experience surpasses that of your competition in the eyes of real guests, and you can showcase this achievement with BoHos web badges.

Motivate your team and improve morale

Feedback from guests is a far better motivator than instructions from management, and being recognised for hard work encourages future commitment to service excellence.

Find out how you compare to your peers

The awards give you a chance to benchmark your hotel's performance against comparable hotels elsewhere in the country and world.

Test drive top hotel technology

All entrants will be given the opportunity to use GuestRevu’s guest feedback and online reputation management software for the duration of the awards at no cost.

Be recognised for innovation

Being part of the awards showcases your hotel as an innovator in the industry using the latest in guest feedback and online reputation technology.

“Winning an award is always wonderful but even more so when they are based on what people say about their time at Raithwaite Estate. When it all comes down to it, our guests are the judges that really matter. As a team we dedicate ourselves to ensuring that everyone who stays with us, comes to the spa, joins us for a conference or dines with us, has the very best possible experience and this award is a testament to that.”

Helen Blower, Estate Manager, Raithwaite Estate (winner 2017)

Who can enter?

The awards are open to all UK or international boutique, lifestyle or hybrid hotels, which will compete in various size and location categories. This year, we are also delighted to announce the inclusion of two new Best Group Brand categories that will recognise exceptional guest experience throughout branded groups.

To enter, you just need to be using a system that can provide direct guest feedback. If you don’t use a guest feedback partner already, there’s still a chance for you to enter – the official BoHos data collection partner, GuestRevu, offers complimentary use of its guest feedback and online reputation management solution to all entrants for the duration of the awards

It’s been great to network with other people within the industry. The tours were really interesting and the conference gives you a great opportunity to find out what’s going on in the sector. After our New Owners panel, the three of us sat down for an hour and discussed how we can help each other.
